The motion detector, certified according to EN Grade 2, features both a PIR and a microwave sensor. The combination of passive infrared (PIR) and microwave (MW) technology offers a high level of protection against false alarms: an alarm is only triggered when both sensors detect movement using separate detection methods. The PIR sensor reacts to moving heat, while the microwave sensor actively monitors the surroundings (Doppler effect). With its 24.15 GHz MW transmission frequency, the detector can be used in all EU countries. Optionally, only one type of monitoring can be activated.

Optional "Pet Immune" function, adjustable in 3 levels: distinguishes between humans and animals. Moving people are reliably detected, while pets weighing up to 15 kg are ignored. In rare cases, however, a lighter animal may trigger the detector, for example, if it runs, jumps, or flies close to it. Configuring the PET function on the detector simplifies planning, installation, and inventory management.

Technology and installation:

Mounting location: in the corner, approximately 1.80 to 2.40 m above the floor, ideally perpendicular to the expected direction of an intruder's movement. The viewing angle is approximately 90 degrees, and the detection range (depending on the mounting height) is up to 12 x 12 m. The spherical lens design ensures uniform room coverage and highly reliable detection. Thanks to its creep zone protection, the detector has no blind spots and can even detect people directly underneath. The detector's sensitivity is adjusted via a jumper: this determines the number of detected pulses before the alarm relay activates. The microwave range is continuously adjustable via a potentiometer. With its integrated, common resistor combinations, configurable via jumpers, wiring to the alarm control panel is quick and easy.
