Power can be supplied via network cable (Power over Ethernet, PoE), for example, from a router or recorder – particularly useful in hard-to-reach locations, often saving on installation costs.

Efficient commissioning & video surveillance
Recordings can be saved to a recorder, NAS, or microSD card. The surveillance camera's motion detection and powerful data compression (H.265-Plus, up to four times more efficient than H.264) ensure efficient storage usage. Even the setup process is streamlined: The camera's user interface can be quickly accessed via PC/browser or recorder/monitor using the ABUS IP Installer, allowing you to see the first live image within minutes. Custom settings (e.g., schedules, privacy zones, etc.) are also quick and easy to configure.

The effective IR range depends on the location. Light-absorbing surfaces or the absence of IR-reflecting objects in the field of view reduce the IR range or result in a video image that is too dark. Furthermore, reflective objects in close proximity to the camera (e.g., gutters, walls) can cause disruptive reflections of IR light in the image.
