Magnetic contact for door and window security
The ABUS MK1310 W/B door/window contact is a magnetic contact for burglar protection on doors and windows. Unauthorized opening is detected and reported to the alarm control panel. This surface-mounted/flush-mounted contact consists of a magnetic contact (reed switch) and a magnet. These are mounted either parallel, end-to-end, or perpendicular to each other – with a minimum distance of 8 mm. The circuit of this normally closed (NC) contact is closed in its resting state. If the distance between the reed switch and the magnet increases, the circuit is interrupted and an alarm is triggered.

The VdS-certified MK1310 W/B door/window contact sensor is tamper-proof and protected against external magnetic fields. External field protection means that only the magnet belonging to this sensor has the correct field strength to keep the circuit closed. Any change in field strength (e.g., caused by an external magnet) interrupts the circuit and triggers an alarm. The optimal mounting location is the center of your door or window frame. Mounting on the lower window frame is also possible if a specific window needs to be tilted while the magnetic contact is secure. The sensor is suitable for both surface and flush mounting. It is waterproof and dustproof (IP68).
