Description

The ABUS MK4000 roller door contact is a magnetic contact for securing gates (garage doors, etc.). Unauthorized opening triggers an alarm at the control panel. The contact is primarily used on roller, sliding, and up-and-over gates. The sensor consists of a magnetic contact (reed switch) and a magnet, which are mounted parallel to each other. The circuit of the normally closed (NC) sensor is closed in its resting state. If the distance between the reed switch and the magnet increases, the circuit is interrupted, and an alarm is triggered. The aluminum housing protects the electronics from mechanical damage, and the MK4000 also features tamper protection.
