Two-stage algorithm to protect against false alarms
The street is constantly in motion: The wind sways the leaves of sun-warmed trees and shrubs, animals and birds roam the area, and insects land on the sensor. The diversity of flora and fauna creates a flood of interference, preventing the outdoor motion detector from accurately detecting the human threat. We solved the problem holistically: We deployed a system of two PIR sensors and developed a two-stage LISA algorithm for signal analysis.

Correlation analysis
Every time motion is detected, the LISA algorithm analyzes and compares the shapes of the two signals in real time. If the shapes are similar, the sensor triggers an alarm.

Intelligent anti-masking system
The outdoor motion detector is an easy target. During the day, when the system is disarmed, intruders can take advantage of the detector's accessibility to damage it or obstruct its view. At night, they can invisibly penetrate the protected area. To prevent such scenarios, we equipped MotionProtect Outdoor with a tamper switch and an advanced anti-masking system that operates 24/7.
The anti-mask monitoring system integrated into MotionProtect Outdoor is automatically calibrated by analyzing the surroundings when the device is attached to the SmartBracket. If an obstacle or color is in the sensor's field of view, the detector immediately detects tampering and triggers an alarm. Furthermore, the sensitive tamper switch immediately reacts to any attempt to remove the outdoor motion detector from its SmartBracket mount.

Guaranteed alarm delivery
We developed the Jeweller wireless protocol to ensure all security devices work seamlessly together. Jeweller enables two-way communication between the hub and MotionProtect Outdoor over distances of up to 1,700 meters and delivers alarms in less than 0.15 seconds. The wireless protocol uses frames to synchronize device communication sessions, authentication to prevent fraud, and encryption to protect against data theft. At the same time, the protocol is highly energy-efficient, allowing the detectors to run for years on the included batteries.

Readiness for use in heat and cold
Ajax security systems protect users in all climates, from South Africa to Greenland. Snow or rain, heat or cold – MotionProtect Outdoor is ready for use in any weather. The outdoor motion detector operates for up to five years on the included battery. To increase its autonomy and ease of maintenance in extreme conditions, we have provided for the use of an external power supply.

Easy assembly
To connect MotionProtect Outdoor to the hub, simply scan the QR code with your smartphone camera. Thanks to the SmartBracket, the outdoor motion detector can be installed without any further disassembly. The device is tested and configured using our app. Nevertheless, installing an outdoor motion detector can be challenging.
